Hi, I am Natalia and I thought this was interesting...A young girl did her own 'representation' of what a Barbie would look like based on proportions that the miniature doll currently has. It is one funky looking broad!

It seems to tie in nicely with the idea of an Ike Mazzard girl. This life size representation also drastically distorts the Barbie doll and her perfect embodiment of femininity, beauty, and  talent. We are told when we are young that Barbie can do it all, and we hold fast to this belief because she has the perfect accessories for all her (rather domestic )adventures and not much more than that. If she were to be animated there would be no time to teach, ride horses, swim with dolphins, or cure cancer. Instead, she would just topple over and be suffering alongside the countless women she inadvertently plunged into having eating disorders.
