Dogs Deserve Mannequins Too!!!

As a followup to a recent posting focusing on the erotic and amorous possibilities of pliable mannequins, do please follow this link to a story of ersatz canine love innovations. Among other things, it shows that when it comes to our Fido-friends, homo sapiens have not cornered the market. Original posting at Gizmodo.

Wow! Now male dogs can also get the same pleasure with dolls! What will they think of next? Once again, I am truly appalled. I never thought the obscene machine of mannequins would lower to animals. It is the nature of animals to do this, but I think this one crossed the line. Even though these mannequins don't look realistic like the "dolls", it still has a hole for the dog. Dogs truly don't need these kinds of toys for pleasure. Many people view this idea as a joke as I do too. What will they think of next?!

  2. Dogs indeed deserve mannequins, if their owners acquire mannequins to fulfill their needs, so does the dog. After all, most owners tie their dog up, not letting them run around. And when the dog is in heat it is an unproblematic fix. Just give the dog his mannequin. Its not too often when the dog gets his/her fix. It’s not like they have many chances, that is.

As an aspiring veterinarian, I find it hard to believe that this doggy-erotic gimmick is developed for the dog’s best interest. Throughout my beckoning career, the necessities of “fixing” your animal have been drilled into my brain. It helps with aggression, sexual frustration, and hygiene control throughout the community. I have witnessed at least 50 spay/neuter surgeries and not one would I consider “inhumane.” Males tend to have the most romping problems, and their surgery is external and extremely noninvasive. Better yet, the creator seems to have created this ideal mate for entertainment reasons, stating how the animals’ sexual frustration is “funny to watch.” As a pre-vet, I would tell my client not to waste their money and neuter their pet.

To be honest with you all, I never thought it would come to this. Yet it should have been expected. We see people taking so much care for their pets what with dressing them, taking them to salons and all that jazz, but to actually go out and make a sex toy for you pouncing pooch...well, that's a bit much if you ask me. But I suppose if humans can have their sex toys, then why not our precious pets? All I can say is I wouldn't put one of those in my house.

  5. I am relieved now that my fine canine, Rex, can experience all the pleasures in life that are available to me as well. At the same time, I cannot but help think that these mannequins not only provide a satisfying experience for your favorite pet but for you as well. Sure, few will admit that they enjoy watching their pet “get it on” with a piece of leg furniture, but better the leg furniture than my leg. Just another example of how these mannequins are not only consuming the lives of our friends, families, and pets, but they truly act as conveniences that some would hate to live without.

  6. Okay. So, now we, the dominant intellectual race on this rock, decide to give our beloved canine friends a bit of pleasure as we ourselves seek it. Let's try and sexually pollute our pets. Why not? We've poluted our marriages and our children, why not the next step? One reason. Dogs do not derive pleasure from sex! The only two creatures on the whole flipping planet that have sex for the sheer pleasure of it are us and dolphiins. Therefore, the creators of this little doggy harlot peddlers are not doing this for the dogs at all. They're offering some sort of satisfaction for the pet's owners. What satisfaction? I couldn't possibly bring myself to try to guess. It's way too disturbing to think about.

It is a little disturbing to see a sex doll for dogs. I understand that there are needs, urges, desires that humans and animals alike wish to fulfill, and with these we create mannequins to help us. But when moving from humans to animals and creating a sex doll for dogs, I feel that while me may be taking steps forward in this world and society, inventions like a dog sex toy may take us back a step. There are steps that can be taken to help curb a dogs affection for ones leg, but I don’t feel that a sex doll is the answer. It is slightly disturbing that one would purchase this in hopes of seeing their dog actually use it. Sexual desires are part of life, in both humans and animals alike. But humans are allowed their mannequins for their sexual pleasure, which have become very life like, so it was only a matter of time before Fido got his.
As an avid listener of Howard Stern, I recently learned of a new company designing mannequins for humans with the sole purpose of providing sexual release. The “Real Doll” ™company claims “Since 1996, we have been using Hollywood special effects technology to produce the most realistic love doll in the world. Our dolls feature completely articulated skeletons which allow for anatomically correct positioning, an exclusive blend of the most expensive silicone rubbers for an ultra-flesh like feel, and are each custom made to order, to our customer's specifications. We offer an extensive list of options, from body type and Face type all the way down to fingernail color. If you've ever dreamed of creating your ideal woman, then you have come to the right place.” (information pulled from their website http://www.realdoll.com)

I feel the concept of mannequins for dogs is over the line. Humans have the same sort of thing (the dolls), but it can be justified because humans crave sex whereas most animals, including dogs, only use it for reproduction. If I were a pet owner, I would not buy one of these for my dog.

As ridiculous as this looks, it seems that the creators of the doll are using this mannequin as a simple substitute for a leg that the dog would mount, or something of that manner. Like a previous poster said, dogs do not get pleasure out of sex, so unlike the sex dolls for humans, this is just an invention out of practicality. When a dog "humps" something, it's usually to establish dominance over that being. I would doubt that this is a suitable substitute for castration, as the dog will feel the natural need to have intercourse anyway.
At the same time, it is odd to observe "mannequins" made for a different species, and it is somewhat disturbing. Unfortunately, the dog is not intelligent enough to realize that this "stand-in" is not a real animal, so the human is, in a sense, controlling the dog species. It makes one wonder if humans could be fooled for the same type of thing. Obviously it would have to be much more intricate, but that is puzzling just to think about!

Please omit my previous response to this post... if there is one. I think I commented on this one accidently and meant for it to be on the next one, titled "Real Dolls."

These dog sex toys are kind of out of hand. Dogs and other animals have sex to reproduce and mate. Humans have sex for pleasure and reproduce. But sex toys for humans are for pleasure rather than reproducing. Therefore providing dogs with a mannequin ("Hotdoll"), it is only suggesting that these dogs have sex for pleasure; when in actuality dogs only know to have sex in order to mate. By giving them these sex toys, dogs will start to believe that they can have sex all day everyday, since a toy is just right there.
