Ersatz Human Machines

I saw this link at boingboing.net and had to add it to this site.

The thought that you can now build a facsimile of any human being you desire is just to perfect--a blend of my recent coursework combining the ideas of seductive hallucinations and obscene machines--not to mention ethnic manneqins!

The first posting

Hello Class! Our course called the obscene machine will be one part gender studies, one part ethnic studies, one part cinema studies, and one part theory seminar. At all times, our concern and focus will be comprised of systematic and unsystematic studies of stereotypes and their enemies--we will be as fascinated by the most grotesque and offensive misrepresentations of various human types as we will works that challenge the same.

For instance, this site represents the kind of "literary" phenomena of concern to our cohort!
